Sun Combs, Deputy Chief Auditor

Meet Sun Combs, the Deputy Chief Auditor, whose dedication to higher education led her to embark on a new chapter at Howard University. After a 15-year career in diverse auditing roles at Georgia Tech, Sun's first impression of Howard was a truly impactful one as she was warmly embraced by colleagues and welcomed into the Howard family. Having recently celebrated her first anniversary at Howard, Sun reflects on the past year with a mix of challenges and rewards. It was a year dedicated to laying the groundwork and transitioning the internal audit function in-house, fostering close collaboration with the Compliance team to ensure maximum value addition. Additionally, she successfully recruited and equipped four dedicated auditors with the necessary tools to excel in their roles.
