Howard University Welcomes "A Different World" HBCU College Tour

After more than 35 years, the cast of “A Different World” has reunited for a 10-city tour of HBCU campuses featuring panel discussions, activations, and other experiences that showcase the culture of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

On Tuesday, April 9, Howard University will host the cast on campus for Hillman Day at Howard.

A panel discussion with the cast will be held at Cramton Auditorium from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is open to Howard University students only. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. for ticket holders.

The Hillman Takeover at Howard

Hillman Day at Howard is a part of a celebratory movement. The fun begins at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, with activations outside of Cramton Auditorium, including:

  • Howard student DJs
  • Divine Nine sorority and fraternity step show and stroll competition
  • 80s/90s themed karaoke
  • "A Different World" character costume contest
  • Viewing of clips from the top 10 episodes

Student tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (at no cost) on Monday, April 8. Students must have their HU ID to pick up their tickets, no exceptions.
