Campus Status Update - 9.13.21

Howard University’s campus is fully operational and open for tomorrow, September 13, 2021.

Please read the following communication in its entirety, as detailed instructions will inform you on how to access the University’s most common applications and the phased manner in which other applications will be rolled out.

Face-to-face and online courses all resume effective September 13, 2021.

Howard University’s faculty and staff will be granted access to select priority applications in a phased manner under our security monitoring activities and in a way that lessens disruptions to business continuity.

Our path to recovery will be slow and steady. We understand everyone's desire to have all the functionality they had access to before the cyber attack. Still, a swift recovery response that neglects key security hardening measures is unwise. So, Howard University’s posture will be intentional and includes security monitoring before making universal changes in user access across our systems. We ask for your cooperation and understanding as we execute the strategy.
