HEERF Fund Grant Access
The Office of the Bursar has been receiving questions about how the HEERF grant refund appears on your bill. We hope that this explanation will assist in saving you time by avoiding a call or visit to the Office of the Bursar and the Office of Financial Aid.
There are two columns on your student account that are labeled “charge” and “payment.” The HEERF grant is initially posted as a credit in the payment column. When the money is “refunded” to you, it posts as a debit under the charge column in a second, separate transaction.
HEERF Funding Disbursement
As a follow-up to the communication sent by President Frederick on Oct. 20, we are writing to confirm that eligible students have been awarded a grant under the Federal Higher Education Relief Fund (HEERF). The grant will be posted to student accounts and will not be applied against any balance due.
For context, this is the third round of student funding distributed by the University in support of student financial relief from pandemic-related hardships. More than $38 million in need-based financial support has been distributed to students since March 2020.

Being referred to by the wrong pronouns particularly affects people who are transgender or gender nonconforming. Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is one of many important ways we can show respect for one another and foster an inclusive learning and working environment.

As we return to campus, we must rededicate ourselves to cultivating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning and working environment free from sex and gender-based discrimination, harassment and violence. - President Wayne A.I. Frederick
