Title IX Policy
In 2024, the Title IX Office developed a revised Title IX Policy that will help to make the Title IX process more accessible, more transparent, and more user-friendly. Additionally, the new regulations require the institution to continually monitor and address any barriers to reporting that may exist, which will help us to make our resolution processes more accessible to the members of our campus community. On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education released its Title IX Final Rule amending the existing regulations. The changes that are required by the regulations build on the previous regulations that were in place from August 14, 2020, to July 31, 2024. Those regulations will continue to apply to all incidents that occurred during that time period, with the new regulations applying to all incidents that happen after August 1, 2024. Effective August 1, 2024, in compliance with these new regulations, Howard's Title IX Policy, for all Title IX matters occurring on or After August 1, 2024, can be found here POLICY PROHIBITING SEX AND GENDER-BASED DISCRIMINATION, SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AND RETALIATION.
