Etoulia Salas-Burnett, M.S.Ed, is the founding Executive Director of the Howard University Center for Digital Business. She has a passion for designing educational programs that bridge the gap between academia and industry. Etoulia is a champion for diversity and inclusion in tech, working to create pathways for underrepresented students to succeed. She holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Howard University.

“The Yard at Afrotech U” is a first of its kind activation and Afrotech Conference stage in the exhibition hall. It was created to celebrate HBCU resilience and unity and provide a convening and networking space for HBCU alums, affiliates, supporters, and enthusiasts at the conference. The space is named after Howard University’s iconic “Yard” and is the result of a partnership between Howard University and Blavity/Afrotech.
Programming for students and early career tech professionals will take place throughout November 14th and 15th and will include a panel discussion by Howard alum and leaders, a resume workshop and sessions about product development and how to achieve success in the tech sector.
